In 2025, Christian Devotions Ministries launched a powerful new initiative for book authors called Send Jesus to Prisons. 

The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the prisoners and the year of the Lord’s favor. Isaiah 61

Since 2021, Christian Devotions Ministries has partnered with Christ Church in Moore Square to bring the good news of Jesus to the poor. In mid-2025, the Lord called us to go into prisons through books and proclaim the freedom that comes in Christ to inmates.

Each week, the ministry purchases books from Amazon and other online booksellers and ships them directly to inmates.

Tucked inside each package is a short, encouraging gift message backed by scripture. Jesus came to set captives and prisoners free. We believe that while justice must be served, no prison wall can contain the transforming power of God’s Word.

Through Christian books, an inmate can experience the same freedom Paul and Silas sang about at midnight in their cell — a freedom that transcends steel bars and concrete walls, and points toward the eternal freedom in Christ that never ends.
